eHealth strategy of the Finnish Nurses Association 2015-2020
Nurses are keen to keep abreast of the times in developing the information society. In its 90th anniversary year 2015 the Finnish Nurses Association published its eHealth strategy. The aim is to focus public discussion on the role of nurses in the development and realisation of eHealth services and strengthening the involvement of citizens in self-care and self-management.
Senior lecturer Outi Ahonen acted as the chair of the eHealth expert working group.
- We wanted to make a strategy that will help to develop eHealth services in everyday life, in everyday nursing, Ahonen describes the aim of the working group.
- ICN eHealth bulletin, August 2016, introduces the Finnish Nurses Association eHealth strategy.
- The newsletter of the International Society for Telemedicine & eHealth (ISfTeH), April 2016, also includes information on the strategy.
