ICN INP/APNN
The International Council of Nurses (ICN) is a federation of more than 130 national nurses associations representing the millions of nurses worldwide. Operated by nurses and leading nursing internationally, ICN works to ensure quality nursing care for all and sound health policies globally. ICN has all together eleven networks. International Nurse Practitioner/Advanced Practice Nursing Network (INP/APNN) is one of them.
Finnish Nurses Association
The Finnish Nurses Association is a professsional organization for registered nurses. Currently it has more than 50,000 members: nurses, public health nurses, midwives, and paramedics. The members cover a wide range of nursing occupations – from clinical nurses to teachers, students, researchers, and management.
Nurse Practitioner/Advanced Practice Nurse
According to the ICN a Nurse Practitioner/Advanced Practice Nurse is a registered nurse who has acquired the expert knowledge base, complex decision-making skills and clinical competencies for expanded practice, the characteristics of which are shaped by the context and/or country in which s/he is credentialed to practice. A master level degree is recommended for entry level.
